Public Witness
Unitarian Universalists see public witness as a way to express our faith through action, speaking out against injustice and advocating for positive change in the world. It is a practice rooted in UU values and a commitment to creating a more just and compassionate world. This can involve individual actions, congregational efforts, or participation in broader UU-led campaigns.
Though his views shifted toward Unitarianism later in life, John Adams was instrumental in bringing about the Declaration of Independence and it could be said it was part of his public witness.
